What is “Gig Recruiting”? Gig recruiting is the ability to recruit candidates on a short-term, freelance basis.
Crowd Recruiting has provided independent and freelance recruiters a platform to locate recruiting gigs since 2013. Recruiters can register and browse job orders from around the world setting the fee and terms they desire. Recruiting gigs are becoming more mainstream with more and more recruiters working from home and offshore. Intuit predicted in a recent study that by 2020, 40 percent of American workers would be independent contractors.
As a gig recruiter, recruiters can often work anywhere in the world, across industries and can often set their own schedules. At Crowd Recruiting, recruiters looking for gigs can even choose the job orders they want to work on.
As the world becomes a larger gig economy, the recruiting space will continue to follow. If you are looking for your first gig in recruiting, visit https://www.crowdrecruiting.com and start recruiting today.
Crowd Recruiting supports multiple payment types including check, paypal and ach/wire bank transfers.
Once Crowd Recruiting has received the commission paid by the employer or hiring recruiting, we will initiate payment to the candidate recruiter the next business day by asking your preferred payment type. For U.S. residents, we also require Form W9 verifying your ein/ssn as well before payment is made.
Checks will be made payable from our Banking Institution in the United States. Once payment has been received, we will reach out to you asking where you would like the check sent. There are no additional fees when paid via check.
Once payment has been received, we need your Paypal email address to process payments via paypal. Note: All paypal fees will be paid by the recipient and deducted from the final amount.
All payments made by bank transfer are made payable from our Banking Institution in the United States. Once payment has been received, we will ask for a direct deposit form to be completed and sent to us. Payments are processed via ACH and typically takes 3 to 4 business days to process once the payment is processed.
Crowd Recruiting has published its first ebook titled “How to Become a Freelance Recruiter, A Crowd Recruiting Guide” on Amazon.com.
Crowd sourced recruiting has become increasingly popular over the past few years. It combines the concept of “crowd sourcing” and “recruiting” through a process of sharing job orders with a pool of independent recruiting resources.
Crowd Recruiting Corporation, a US based human resource technology company, has developed an international freelance recruiter network at http://www.crowdrecruiting.com. Using crowd-sourcing techniques to help recruiters fill vacancies. It brings an element of collaboration into the competitive world of recruiting. And because the concept is based on marketplace, it also opens up far more opportunities for smaller and independent recruiters and starts to shift the balance of power away from bigger agencies.
US-based Crowd Recruiting was launched by Mike Achilles who also founded two staffing companies. He found it tough to balance the recruiters’ need for candidates and the need to find jobs for the candidates the recruiter already had. Typically, he was unable to fill 80% of job orders and so turned to other recruiters to help him – and they did. Managing the workflow proved difficult so he developed a platform to handle it: crowdrecruiting.com, which now has more than 1,000 recruiter subscribers in more than 50 countries. “Our focus is recruiters helping recruiters,” says Achilles who claims the marketplace model and fee structure is lower a hiring company’s cost by 75% in some cases.
POTENTIAL IMPACT IN THE LONG TERM?
More and smaller recruiters will likely get more work. Will Blaze, founder of Esultant in the US, left his job to start his own firm but doesn’t want to grow beyond four to five recruiters. “I see a world where there are a ton of independent recruiters at smaller fees,” he says, adding that more employees from the big agencies will see the sense in working for themselves.
Every business owner knows that having the right set of employees with the right set of skills is what enables the organization to compete effectively. Most managers also know that simply placing an ad or recruiting from top universities is no longer enough. It has been found that some of the best talent happens to live in developing countries, which makes it necessary for an organization to recruit offshore. Read More
Freelance recruiters, otherwise known as independent recruiters find candidates for agencies, rpo’s and with companies directly. These recruiters get paid a salary, a fixed fee or a percentage of the candidate’s annual salary if the candidate gets hired. Freelance recruiters are rapidly becoming a popular choice among businesses, especially as more and more people prefer to work from home. Read More
It has been a tough couple of years for recruiters in the recruiting market. The amount of effort they have to put in to fill an open job order is now 2 to 3 times more than what they had to put in before the event of recession. Lost job orders are becoming a norm. Now, when a recruiter has five job orders to be filled at the same time, they only have the bandwidth to work on three, so two of them won’t get much traction and are lost to competition. The sales team then has to explain why and ultimately make excuses causing the recruitment agency to lose credibility, time and money. Read More
